Spring seems to be well on its way, and the selection at your local rag dealer has adjusted accordingly. Before we get carried away, we wanna thank you all for keeping the door hinges going. Having a clothing spot would be nothing without the people rocking those clothes.

So, since you guys ransacked the store last week we have to refill the rails with new bangers. And what would be a better way to start a new week than the UPS coming through with couple of boxes of gems from Gothenburg.

Let us introduce: Tuff Tony pants in pale green, a Nudies take on the iconic US Army fatigue pants. And they are fucking beautiful. Not a copy but a reimagination. Nudie swapped the original cotton sateen for a proper herringbone twill, tighter, tougher.

About that herringbone twill. It’s a twist on the classic twill weave. Where regular twill runs in one diagonal line (think denim), herringbone breaks that pattern into a zig-zag. The name comes from the pattern itself, looks like the bones of a herring if you squint a little. It’s a weave you’ll spot all over vintage workwear and military gear, especially the old HBT fatigues from the mid-20th century.

There were good reasons for that. The shifting twill direction helps resist tearing, and back before modern fabric treatments like sanforizing, herringbone also had a tendency to stay straighter after washing compared to regular twill. Less twisting, more durability.

So yeah, it’s not just a pattern. It’s a piece of textile history doing what it was designed to do: work hard and age well.

Speaking of aging we also got Conny denim jacket, a Nudie Jeans staple, a slim-fit denim jacket built around their signature asymmetrical chest pockets and that familiar back yoke embroidery. Clean lines, classic proportions, nothing unnecessary. Wear it hard and the story just gets better.

Then last but not least, we got this unlined jacket cut from organic cotton satin, flipped to show the rougher reverse side of the fabric, giving it that slightly irregular, broken-in look right out of the gate. The Blake comes with a regular fit and a short, boxy shape, staying close to the roots of a proper worker jacket. Classic workwear DNA, done the Nudie way.

New Nudie gear and heaps of vintage heat from our archive now waiting for you at your local garment dealership. You just show up. Say hi. Scratch Daisy behind the ears. Dig through the racks with a cold Monster in your hand and see what sticks.
